The Aftermath III: The Covenant (Joel 2:12-13)

Joel 2:12-13 (KJV) reads "Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil." Reformed Baptist preacher Charles Spurgeon had once stated "There are times when solitude is better than society, and silence is wiser than speech." This scripture and wise words from a saint of the past best explains where I'm at as I write to you. Due to the expansion of New Earth's congregation and territory everything has been paused until further notice. Praying and fasting are the only two options one has. King Mel has been so busy to the point that I only see him during Sunday services. Brother Zach and myself have gotten closer and he's been teaching me the game of chess (I think I'm getting good at it). Hazel and I have been granted more time with each other (she comes over to the library while I see her before she goes off to patrol the land). I am always one to praise the Lord from the second I wake up to the minute I go to bed, but the month of July has become a month of consecration for me.

In a constant state of prayer and fasting during this month of July I'm asking God to align me with the plans and purposes He has for me. I'm asking God for the ability to hear and answer the call He has on my life. I'm also asking God to expose the real from the fake. God has answered my prayers through dreams and visions. Before the eyes of the congregation, I have become a minister on the same level that Elisha (former member) once was. King Mel puts me on the same duties as brother Zach, and we both go into Babylon (Las Vegas) and preach the Word of God to the lost souls that have ears to hear. Every time myself and brother Zach go out to preach and evangelize, I pray a prayer of humility and meekness. One time myself and brother Zach brought back four people (two men and two women) from Babylon after preaching God's Word. I am thankful for what God is doing here through New Earth and its leaders.

Being in isolation and unison with God is better than being surrounded by fruitless and envious crowds. There are times when we all have to separate from people who halt our growth. These people can be friends and family. It can be the same people who were a part of your development as an individual. As we are in the second year of tribulation, I have no knowledge of the whereabouts of my family. Before the rapture, a small majority of my family and I were not that close. The reasons for this were plenty. However, I used that time we were separated as an "isolation phase" to work on my many crafts. While some may crumble under isolation, I see it as a place of growth and maturity.

My kendo (Rapunzel) and I are still best friends. As most of you know a kendo sword is sharper than an average kitchen knife. The same can be said about the Word of God. God's Word is alive and active. All sixty-six books (what we know as The Holy Bible) is sharper than any two-edged sword. It cuts through bone and marrow. The Word can even cut as deep down touching our souls. We cannot lie to God because he knows the condition of our hearts. Every believer should place God's Word on the template of their hearts.

Whether I'm doing my kendo training or looking out to the mountains, I can't stop thinking about the goodness of God. There have been times in my life when I made foolish mistakes and ran from God. I paid attention to politics and news articles instead of reading God's Word. The words I spoke to myself were words of rhetoric and not of life. Once I hit a dead-end in 2018, I had all the time I needed to build a relationship with God. Looking back that was the best choice I made.

I encourage you to stay in God's Word and let the Holy Spirit guide you. Remember to cover yourself with the blood of Jesus at all times. Pray for one another and take accountability for your individual actions. Avoid public disputes. Always stand united under all circumstances. The Lord is the only one who you have to answer to and fear. May the Lord grant you peace, blessings, and prosperity.

  Sincerely,
  Jonah
